Japanese FM thanks Iran for offer of help

TEHRAN – Japanese Foreign Minster Takeaki Matsumoto has sent a message to his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi to thank him for sympathizing with the families of those who died in a devastating tsunami triggered by a massive quake which hit northeast Japan Friday.

Matsumoto also expressed his gratitude for Iran’s offer of help and disaster relief to the Japanese people.
The Iranian foreign minister sent a message of sympathy to his Japanese counterpart on Friday, expressing deep sorrow at the deadly 8.9-magnitude earthquake.
Iran’s Red Crescent Society has announced Tehran’s readiness to deliver humanitarian aid to the victims of the tsunami.
